Lightning!!!

Ok, the house was hit by lightning. 4 FEET FROM MY HEAD.

I'll let that sink in for a sec...

Yea...it hit the very top of our house...and I was sleeping on the bunk...in the attic part of the house that night. We lost some things (oven, computer, fridge...) but things are going back to normal. Just thought I'd say that much.

Ok, here's an ironic tale..... I heard about Slumdog Milionaire a year and a half before it was released. I was planning on going to the midnight premier...but I couldn't. My family saw it while I was gone, and loved it, so they showed it to everybody they knew. By the time I came back, I forgot about it (weird) and I didn't remember till two weeks ago in the library. I saw it on the shelves, so I got it and FINALLY saw it. It was was epic. It's now on my buying list.

And..........I've become readiddicted to video-games. I was before, then school, now I am again....God help us all.

I survived a lightning bolt.

Rant on Summer Highlight...

Well, I just lived through the highlight of my summer break, now that it's over with. Yes, I said it. Summer is OVER. Ugh, finally. I'm taking some random classes, and picked up some more shifts. I'm finally busy again.....a little. ANYWAY. :)

I'm gonna rant now!

First of all, I was on a short roadtrip. It was epic. My bro, and my sis came, along with a few other people. We drove ALL THE WAY to see King Tut. It felt like we were in the car for eternity. Somone had a camera, and I wanted to destroy that thing. Ok, so I fell asleep on the way there, my head on the window glass, and my arm around the back of the chair (I sat in the back with my sis and bro. My sis sat in the middle, so I had fun squishing her. :) ).....so what? They all thought it was hilarious. Big whoop. (I woke up with the camera in my face, and the typical..."Waky, Waky..." So, yea, we finally got there.

It brought back to many memories being in that museum. I've only been there like 5 times since I've live here, (all for exhibits) but every time it was awesome. Like, I saw the Star Wars exhibit, the Pompeye (spelling?) and Titanic. Oh, and the Dead Sea Scrolls. Which were ok. But now I saw King Tut. It's never fun going alone. But we got our tickets and we had 25 minutes to burn, so we walked into this *brain section* and they had a computer game which you could play to test how good your brain works. Let's put it this way...I did..........ok. (lies...I flunked like a frickin' retard) So yea. I wasn't the only one tho! That made me feel better. I already had to do some summer school for my bad grades LAST year.

We went through the exhibit with some radio cast thign going on. It got pretty annoying. Not the radio, but the people. People from BEHIND us passed us and finished the exhibit long BEFORE us. I mean, geez, you pay 30 bucks for a ticket, you wanna whiz through it like that? No way. Take your time. So we did. We even sat down on the ground waiting for some of our group to catch up. (Mostly my sis...she liked to read everything. So we'd sit on the benchs and wait for her before we went to the next room). But it took us more then 3 hours to get through the thing. It creeped me out, there was this teenager that kept looking at me. I mean, it wouldn't be so weird, but they'd come up pretend to read when their not, and gaze at my face. I said some thing's they'll probably never forget (they learned some new words) and told them to get lost. So they did.
After the exhibit we decided to stroll around for a bit, then we remembered, an old friend of ours worked here. We hadn't seen her since like 2-3 years ago. So, we found her number in one of our phones, and prayed she didn't change number, called. She answered, and said she was working. !!! She said she was in the back with the gardens, so we went there. It was awesome...even though we were all starving, (none of us had eaten anything since we left early that mornning) and a friend of mine had a splitting head-ache. She showed us around and then she showed us a cherry tree they had in the back. So we all gorged ourselves on it. She said it was ok, so we did. We had a small "pit-spitting-contest" but we hit a few kids so we stopped.

Next we all wanted to go out to eat. We knew it had to be close 'cause none of us could last being in the car longer then 10 min. We invited the museum worker, but she couldn't so we went to the one place no one wanted to go. Some Mexican rest. It was ok. But loud. And busy. We managed to get a table and we all ordered like 3 plates for each. Then, after we pealed ourselves off the seats, we went back into the car to drive home. The very long drive home. That was even fun. We talked on about how much we all felt like crap, and we told jokes and stories when we were in school. We're still planning that major roadtrip down the coast of Cali. That's only in a year or two away. Then we all off in our own directions. But to ease the tension building up, my bro cranked up the radio and we rolled down all the windows (it was HOT that day, no lie, it didn't even feel good stripping. O.O JK, everyone was panting like dogs) and we all starting singing to the songs (songs we didn't even know) on the top of our lungs. Mind you, it was around midnight, and the traffic on the High Way was nasty. So we got plenty of honks and yells. But it was fun, one of the best ones was Soulja Boy "Yaahh!" and "Kings and Queens" by 30 Sec. to Mars. It was classic. By the time we got home we were all pooped, (after dropping people off that is). That was my fun summer highlight. It was short lived, but hopefull in the next year or two, it'll happen again. The I'm moving outta the country! Woot! Finally! ....again.

I just realized I have no images. I alway have images. So here we go. Unfortunately there were no pics taken on our whirl-wind, only a video, but I haven't had my hands on it yet, so it can't be shared yet. ):
I have been watching Death Note again tho....(L is my avatar btw)
He always makes me feel insanely stupid.

Oh, and I've been doing some reading this summer. (Eep!) and I finished Jurassic Park...

I hate to admit it..but the book was a little better, and no I haven't read the second one yet. Gawd, this is like a huge post!
One more pic for the run .....

This isn't it, but we were passing by a water pass, during a beautiful sunset that night. It looked a lot like this. I wish I could have gotten a pic of it, (I really wanted to) but I didn't have my phone on me, nor a camera. I don't think the vid got it any good.

That's it....finally. No one's gonna read this....huh? Oh, well....and...

PS...Dee, yes, you did win, I'll admit it.
